What this covers

ChannelPlan is a planning tool for video teams: workspaces, boards, and the cards on them. This page says what we store, where it goes, and what you can do about it — in the same words the app uses.

What we store

Your account: your name, email address, and a hash of your password (never the password itself). Signing in sets one essential session cookie.

Your work: the workspaces, boards, lists, and cards you and your team create — including card descriptions, due dates, labels, checklists, comments, attachments, and an activity log of who changed what. It lives in the app's own database.

Files you attach: attachments are stored with our file storage provider (Vercel Blob) and are addressed by unguessable URLs.

Operational records: a log of the emails the app sends you (so we can answer "why didn't it arrive?") and a log of what connected AI assistants do (see below).

Who can see your work

Everything in a workspace is visible to that workspace's members — that's the point of it. Nothing you put on a board is public, and members of one workspace cannot see another workspace.

Email

The app emails you to verify your address, reset your password, deliver workspace invitations, and tell you when a card is assigned to you. Delivery is handled by Resend. These are service emails about your account, not marketing.

AI assistants you connect

If you connect an AI assistant (like Claude), it acts as you: it can read and change your boards to the extent you approved on the consent screen, and what it reads reaches that assistant's provider. Every call it makes is logged, and you can see and revoke its access at any time in Settings → Connected apps. Nothing is connected unless you approve it yourself.

Cookies

One essential cookie keeps you signed in, and one remembers your cookie choice. We load no analytics, advertising, or tracking. Details on the cookies page.

Your choices

You can edit your name and password in Settings, and download a copy of your data from Settings → Account. Deleting your account starts there too: we email you a confirmation link (valid for one hour), and clicking it permanently removes your account, sessions, and memberships — there is no undo. Workspaces where you are the only member are deleted with their boards, cards, and stored attachment files. In workspaces you share with others, the team's boards remain — including cards and comments you created, which stay with the team.

Security

Traffic to the app is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim certifications we don't hold.

This page describes what the app actually does today; it isn't legal advice. When the app changes in a way that matters here, this page and its date change with it.

Cookies, plainly

ChannelPlan uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We load no analytics or tracking today; this choice covers any non-essential cookies if they're ever added.
